Former Southern Amusement Worker Probated

  • {West Virginia}...Mark Anthony Cantrell was sentenced to five years of probation Wednesday and ordered to pay $40,000 in restitution after pleading guilty in February to Social Security fraud. Prosecutor say, while employed at Southern Amusement, Cantrell helped another employee receive payments in cash while receiving disability benefits. Southern Amusement was a video lottery machine operator owned by former Logan County Delegate Joe Ferrell who was sentenced to two years in prison in June for federal racketeering and tax convictions. Prosecutors said Wednesday they would not have been able to prosecute Ferrell without Cantrell’s information and cooperation.
