(Boone County, WV) - In a report released today, Boone and Logan Counties will receive the most money from West Virginia's new coal severance bill. Boone County will receive the most, and is projected to receive about 3.3 million dollars by the year 2017. Logan County is third on the list, behind Marshall County, and will receive about 2.3 million dollars by the end of that period. According to the new bill, which has been signed by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, the counties that mine the most coal will get the most money.
