Huntington Man Sentenced For Robbery

• {West Virginia}...Gary Shane Maynard of Huntington received a 36 year prison sentence Wednesday after pleading guilty to first-degree robbery and delivery of a controlled substance. Police say, about 11:00 P.M. September 19, 2010, Maynard and Jason Matthew Hall entered a house on Lynn Creek Road in a secluded part of Wayne County with a .38 caliber handgun, duct tape, zip ties and rope. Authorities say the residents, Casey Bartram and his girlfriend, Brittany Nikole Stroud, arrived home to an exceptionally dark house. Hall then popped up from behind a counter wearing a blue ski mask as Bartram, entered the house. Authorities say the two men faced off with separate handguns and engaged in a physical altercation, while still holding onto their guns. Bartram then fired one fatal shot, striking Hall just above the left eye. Hall fell to the kitchen floor.
