(Orgas, WV) - More details have been released on a Boone County coal miner injured Tuesday night at a mine in the Orgas community. Officials say the man is a 43 year old contract electrician, and is currently hospitalized in the burn unit at Cabell Huntington Hospital with severe burns to the upper portion of his body after he apparently came in contact with an energized electrical circuit. State mine safety investigators are on the scene reviewing the accident to determine how it happened. It is still unclear if the man was working underground or outsde the mine when he was shocked.
