{West Virginia}...Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies, the Dunbar Police K9 Unit and St. Albans Police responded to the scene of a robbery at Smiley's Motel and Lounge on MacCorkle Avenue in Jefferson. Investigators say a female employee was leaving the lounge with a cash drawer, when a man approached her about renting a room. When they went into the main office of the hotel, the employee set down the cash drawer, and the man grabbed it and fled. Deputies say the cash drawer had less than $900 inside. The suspect did not have a weapon during the robbery.
