- {West Virginia}...U.S. Representative Nick Rahall has sent a letter to Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki asking for a report on what actions are being taken to correct the problems after services were suspended at the Community-Based Outpatient Clinic for veterans in Williamson because of roaches, rotten wood flooring and other problems. Rahall says he wants answers about conditions at the clinic, and he's concerned about continuing health care for veterans in the area. Rahall says officials at the Huntington VA Medical Center informed him about the clinic's conditions and its August 3rd closure. He says the problems were found during an unscheduled inspection, but Rahall staffer Diane Luensmann says she doesn't know who conducted the inspection.
