ATF Agents Raid Boone County Pawn Shop
- {West Virginia}...Federal agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms seized hundreds of guns from Britton's Pawn Shop in Danville, in Boone County, Tuesday after an investigation that spanned months. ATF investigators say the shop previously lost its federal firearm permit because the ATF determined in 2007 that shop owner Kevin Britton hid stolen guns and sold them out of the store. While charges stemming from that incident were pending, Britton allegedly made a deal with prosecutors to move his guns to another pawn shop in Chapmanville, but investigators say Britton never made the transfer. Britton is accused of selling the guns to customers and paying a fee to customers who would take the guns to the Chapmanville pawn shop and complete federal paperwork.
