Woman Attempts To Rob Store

• {West Virginia}...Connie Hawkins, 56, was charged with first degree robbery after police say she attempted to rob the Cold Spot, a local convenience store in the Glen Jean area of Fayette County late Friday night. Deputies say Hawkins was spotted walking into the store while she put a bandanna around her face. Mike Tyree, an employee who witnessed Hawkins enter the store, followed her through the store and watched her as she showed a knife to another clerk and demanded money. Tyree pulled out his own knife and told  Hawkins to drop the knife and return the money, but, when she refused, Tyree  forced her to drop the knife and grabbed her keeping her at the store until law enforcement arrived.
